Judging Criteria
The Judges for the AustCham Australia-China Business Awards 2008 will review all submissions from finalists using the criteria listed below. Nominees will need to substantiate the information provided.
Aspects that the Judges tend to focus on strongly include:
- The degree of innovation in the applicant's marketing strategy
- Growth achieved and the ability to sustain that growth
- The overall company commitment to greater China market development
The Judges will mark entries in total for out of 100. Please note below the value weighting attributed to each of the four Criteria.
Weighting Criteria:
- 30/100 The Nominee must demonstrate a sound financial base including sufficient working capital (cash flow and resources) to support their business activity.
- 60/100 * The impact of the company, in its marketplace, measured by:
- Sales volume
- Value expressed in growth over the last three years or since the applicant commenced business
- Projected value over the next two years
- Expansion beyond usual base market
- Marketing support for brand and sales in the marketplace
- 10/100 * Evidence of efficient internal organisation structure and ethical business behaviour; demonstration of sustainable development practices and community out reach activities.
*For Nominees in the Sustainable Development Award category, please note that the weighting for Criteria 2 and 3 are reversed.
